On Friday, the police department tracked 12 shooting incidents with 20 victims and one fatality. On Saturday, there were 20 shootings with 23 victims and four fatalities. On Sunday, NYC saw seven shootings, leaving eight injured and one dead. The weekend surge came amid a wave of gun violence in the city, which saw 745 shooting incidents from January 1 through July 26 alone, marking a 73 percent increase from the 431 shootings in same period last year, according to The New York Times....
