James’ investigative report into sexual harassment allegations against the governor led to Cuomo’s resignation on Tuesday, one week after her report was published. Her report said that Cuomo had sexually harassed 11 women, including female employees, and created a toxic work environment. “If Andrew Cuomo was harassing so many women, and doing it at the state capital in New York, how come we just learned he was doing it?” Carlson rhetorically asked during his Tuesday night broadcast....

On his show last night, Carlson said the unsubstantiated accusation was “lunacy” and called Hillary Clinton “reckless” and “silly” in his defense of Rep. Gabbard of Hawaii. He also suggested that the 2016 Democratic presidential nominee and former first lady was quick to dismiss critics as foreign spies. Carlson’s intervention is the latest development in an internal row between Democrats. Speaking to the Campaign HQ podcast hosted by David Plouffe last week, Clinton said Gabbard was a “favorite of the Russians” and suggested she was being groomed as the country’s candidate in the Democratic primary race....

The administration has recently positioned itself against the Chinese video sharing platform, citing security concerns, and touted a ban in the U.S. TikTok, owned by Beijing-based ByteDance, was recently banned in India, which has prompted speculation the U.S. might soon follow suit. While the president’s team has aligned against TikTok, which is based around short-form video content shared, politically-minded users of the app have united against Trump. TikTok activists targeted Trump’s Tulsa rally with bogus sign-ups for tickets and claimed to have caused the disappointing turnout, though the campaign denied there was any impact....

During Tuesday’s court hearing, Trump’s lawyer announced that he intended to testify in the civil case, which is set to go to trail on October 2, 2023, and that the former president would even like to have a jury trial over a bench trial in which a judge decides the verdict. “They will be here,” lawyer Alina Habba, who represents Trump and his company, told a judge, according to a Business Insider report....

Trump said in a statement on Thursday night just before a prime-time hearing of the House Select Committee to Investigate the January 6 Attack on the U.S. Capitol that Pence’s unwillingness to block Biden’s win on the day of the riot was responsible for everything from the war, to inflation, high gas prices and the botched withdrawal of U.S. troops from Afghanistan. The former president also shared the statement to his Truth Social account as the hearing was airing live....

Trump told Fox News on Thursday night that the “nice thing” about the coming third quarter GDP data was that it was scheduled for released on October 29, just five days before voters go to the polls. The president was almost optimistic about the medium term future of the U.S. economy, predicting that it would have a “great year next year” despite weekly unemployment claims rising for the first time in months last week....

“I appreciate the President’s confidence in listing me as a potential Supreme Court nominee,” Hawley wrote in a tweet, “But as I told the President, Missourians elected me to fight for them in the Senate, and I have no interest in the high court. In August, the congressional January 6 committee requested that the National Archives turn over records from Trump’s time in office and in the aftermath of the U.S. Capitol riot, which was carried out by supporters of the former president. President Joe Biden has declined to assert executive privilege over certain records that were requested. But in a lawsuit filed Monday, a lawyer for Trump said that the ex-president had an interest in preserving such privilege over the documents and that the committee request was “invalid and unenforceable through the Constitution and the laws of the United States....
