The list was compiled by the Ukrainian Center for Countering Disinformation, founded in 2021 by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to study the impact of Russian disinformation. The center is part of Ukraine’s National Security and Defense Council. The list—which also includes retired U.S. Army Colonel Douglas Macgregor, military strategist Edward Luttwak, political scientist John Mearsheimer and journalist Glenn Greenwald—does not explain what the consequences are for those who Ukraine clearly considers responsible for promoting the Kremlin’s line....

The president also took aim at Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger, who is a Republican, and 2018 gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams, a Democrat. “The Consent Decree signed by the Georgia Secretary of State, with the approval of Governor @BrianKempGA, at the urging of @staceyabrams, makes it impossible to check & match signatures on ballots and envelopes, etc,” Trump wrote. “They knew they were going to cheat. While Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden’s lead over his Republican competitor is more significant than Hillary Clinton’s was after the first 2016 debate, polls conducted at this time four years ago reflected less voter support for Trump than they do in 2020. Comparisons between FiveThirtyEight’s current election polling averages and those published during the last election cycle show the president is currently polling 2 percent higher than he was during the week following his first debate against Clinton....

At the event in Minneapolis, Minnesota, Trump read out personal messages sent between Page and FBI agent Peter Strzok in August 2016 which included one that said “we’ll stop” Trump from becoming president. Both are married to other people and at the time Strzok was overseeing the Hillary Clinton email investigation as well as the probe into Trump’s campaign. Trump claimed the FBI spied on him during his 2016 election campaign and that the tweet exchange showed there was bias against him....

Global economic growth is expected to slow to 2.9 percent in 2019, the OECD said. The organization said that growth would tick slightly upward to 3 percent in 2020. Predicted growth estimates have fallen slightly since May, when the organization predicted growth of 3.2 percent in 2019 and 3.4 percent in 2020. “The global economy is facing increasingly serious headwinds and slow growth is becoming worryingly entrenched,” OECD Chief Economist Laurence Boone said in a press release....

How many conversations and tweets were peppered with that observation following the Thursday night presidential debate, the last before the November 3 election? Trump supporters were pleased to see their man show some needed focus and poise, and critics were forced to admit his debate game had notably improved. But the key factor involved viewers yet to make a final choice. Moderates, independents, the “undecided”—call them what you wish, but they were a vital audience that night, and they are a vital constituency moving forward....

The reason Trump passed on the Cowboys? He said it was a “no-win situation” for a decent return on investment (ROI). “I feel sorry for the poor guy who is going to buy the Dallas Cowboys,” Trump said. “It’s a no-win situation for him, because if he wins, well, so what, they’ve won through the years, and if he loses, which seems likely because they’re having troubles, he’ll be known to the world as a loser....

Miller will testify at a hearing by the House Oversight Committee entitled “The Capitol Insurrection: Unexplained Delays and Unanswered Questions.” The committee has said that it wants to examine the Executive Branch and District agencies’ preparations for and responses to the insurrection. In early March, Miller said that the insurrection occurred because of Trump’s “Stop the Steal” rally and speech held beforehand. At the rally, Trump continued to baselessly claim that an unprecedented nationwide “criminal enterprise” of voter fraud “stole” the presidential election from him....

The poll, conducted in a collaboration between ABC News and The Washington Post, was released on Sunday and showed a steep decline in popularity for Trump now, compared to the support he had in 2020 when he secured the GOP nomination for reelection. According to the poll, which has a margin of error of 3.5 percent, 47 percent of Republican and conservative-leaning independent respondents said that they support Trump as the prospective party nominee in 2024, while 46 percent oppose the idea....

U.S. Army General Stephen Townsend on Tuesday told the Senate Armed Services Committee the reduced troop presence made has combatting the Al-Qaeda-linked Al-Shabab extremist group in East African country more dangerous and difficult. Townsend’s statement raises questions whether President Joe Biden will reverse one of his predecessor’s final national security decisions. In December 2020, Trump ordered the withdrawal of 700 U.S. troops stationed in Somalia, where they had been training soldiers in the war-torn country and assisting with raids against Al-Shabab, an Islamic extremist group that has killed thousands....

Trump’s lawyers, of course, say no—a president’s personal financial records cannot be subpoenaed, because a sitting president cannot be investigated, not by Congress and not by a state district attorney. The nub of the president’s argument is that Article II of the Constitution gives him “temporary absolute immunity” until he leaves office. Not worth the work!” While Trump’s tweet suggests that it is a “rumor” Collins won’t support Trump’s nomination of Judge Amy Coney Barrett to the Supreme Court, the Maine Senator publicly argued last month that the Senate should not vote on a Supreme Court nominee until after the November 3 election....

Many of the theories in the video Trump has articulated before. The survey, conducted by PBS NewsHour/NPR/Marist, found that 61 percent of Americans do not want to see the Republican on the ballot in 2024. While Trump’s overall support for reelection has not changed since December 2020, the former president has lost the backing of the key independent demographic. The latest poll found that just 28 percent of independents believe Trump should run for office again, while more than two-thirds (67 percent) say he should not....
